Yes this image has been posted without consent of the rights holder. But I doubt they'd care.

If you are reading this it’s not January 18th. That’s because this site and thousands of others will be participating in a massive one day online protest to educate people about one of the most dangerous bills to be considered in the halls of Congress. The Stop Online Piracy Act, or SOPA.

For my fellow WordPress users there is a great plugin that will allow you to join the fun. It’s called SOPA STRIKE, and for one day it will divert all traffic to SopaStrike.com as well as add your site to the list of bloggers and web masters who are joining the fight to save the internet.

Word has it the Federal Reserve Bank of New York is working towards producing a social media spying program. The objective is to monitor Facebook, Twitter and blogs. No they are not looking for self-confirmation from Fed loving Cainiacs to boost their ego. They’re likely not even tapping the social-sphere for PR data. While they are a private bank, they are not a consumer bank. So they have no vested interest in opinions of the consumer. With the rise of Ron Paul and the End the Fed movement, as well as the Occupy Wall Street (and now the Occupy the Fed) protests practically knocking on their door, the Fed is scared, and rightfully so. A growing segment of the public has identified them as public enemy number one. So the fed is on the look out for those who seek to destroy its money monopoly.

There really is no need for the Fed to take a subversive route to learn what we think of them. Most of their critics gladly espouse their views out in the open like heartbroken lovers broadcasting their trials and tribulations to their Facebook friends. I for one have nothing to hide, and that’s why they have everything to fear.

So in light of their recent endeavors I would like to offer up my beef with the Fed. While images of storming their marble halls, imprisoning banksters and shouting “off with their heads” has a certain classically romantic appeal, I don’t think we have to go all French Revolution on them. Instead I would like to think of the matter as a toxic relationship which we have begrudgingly stayed in out of various, granted poorly justified reasons. Naïvety, insecurity, ignorance, even complacency. But the writing is on the wall. My facebook wall that is. It’s message is, it’s time we go our separate ways.

    Dear “Federal” Reserve Bank,

We have had a long and sorted relationship, you and I. I have put in so much of my time, money and effort but have received very little in return. At first your appeal was very attractive. You offered me stability I thought I needed, and I thought you could provide. But then you started asking more of me. You assured me that if I gave up a portion of my income I would have a better quality of life, but all I did was make less money. You promised that if I relinquished control of the household finances that we would be more prosperous. Instead our debt is enormous and what money we do have is worth 98% of what it was when we met. What is worse, while I was scraping to make ends meet you’ve continuously loaned my money to your banker buddies with gambling problems, all because they made some really bad bets.

Now, I’m convinced you are involved in some really shady dealings. I’ve seen you cavorting with other foreign banks. I have overheard your back room deals with the military-industrial mafia to help fund their turf wars. All the while I’ve listened to that infernal printer going into all hours of the night. And you have the nerve to stick me with the ink and paper costs! You’re so damn secretive I don’t know whats going on for sure. All I can do is look at my dwindling bank account, watch my crashing credit score, and look back on the days when I was in control. Yes I made mistakes then, but they were my mistakes, and nobody, I mean NOBODY was playing me for a fool!

I have always wanted to say this, so here we are… It’s not you, it’s me. I have wised up to your games. While you still think I’m stupid enough to fall for them. Well guess again.

The truth is you are a cold hearted bitch who only thinks of your self and your elite circle. So suffice it to say, I think it is time we start seeing other currencies. I know what you’ll say. With that condescending tone “Where are you going to go? With Gold? She’s so old and jingly, who would want her?”. Well, maybe! She’s been hot shit for thousands of years! “Local currencies? Good luck finding anybody to accept those pariahs!” you say. But you know, at least I know what they’re worth unlike someone I know!

There are plenty of fiscally responsible options in the sea. So don’t worry about me. I’ll be just fine. You on the other hand. I would say your days are numbered. With the debt you’ve racked up it’s unlikely anybody will take you in. But then again, thats karma. She’s a bitch too, maybe you’ll get along.

    Truly no longer yours,

    The American People.

We’ll Fed, now you know where I stand. So what are you going to do about it? I suggest you stop worrying about us “End the Fed’ers” and just pray your old friend Ron Paul’s bill H.R. 1098, the “Free Competition in Currency Act of 2011″ doesn’t pass. Because that surely would mean the breakup of the century.

Spread the word! If you like this post and want to see an end to the Fed, switch your Facebook relationship status to “It’s Complicated” and post the breakup letter contained in this article along with a link to the full text. That will be sure to open some eyes.

I had a thought… Imagine if the Republican establishment and those in favor of our many wars in the name of “stamping out terrorism” are correct about the motives of said terrorists. Imaging it has nothing to do with our decades of interventionist foreign policy of bombing some countries and propping up dictators in others.

The truth, in this exercise is that they hate us because we are a free and prosperous society. We are everything that goes against their fundamental Muslim jihadist ideal. That they want us to be financially wrecked, rather than wealthy. They want us oppressed rather than free. They want us afraid rather than at ease. Imagine that they want us dead.

Now. Stop imagining and look at our country.

We are for all intents-and-purposes bankrupt. We are over extending ourselves in multiple wars and bloated bureaucracies at home. For which we must print money to maintain, all the while devaluing our money and setting the stage for the most devastating attack on Americans. Hyperinflation. We are authorizing federal “agents” to invade our privacy in airports, online, and numerous other ways in our daily lives. We are allowing our media and agencies to propagate constant fear and manufacture threat. Most unfortunately, we are sending our troops to be targeted for death on multiple fronts. To engage unidentifiable enemies, in countless open-ended and strategically ambiguous military actions. On their home court.

If they are right, and the anti-war movement is wrong. Aren’t the terrorist getting precisely what they are aiming to achieve?

After all, the true damages which come from terrorism are not the loss of life in individual attacks. The wound is inflicted when the government and the nations people react just as we have over the past decade. As a drunken belligerent fool swinging wildly at shadows, exhausting every last bit of our energy and even hitting ourselves in the process.

Maybe it’s time to sober up, head home and get our house in order?

Another Ron Paul post? I know, I know. It’s not as if theTrepaNation.com isn’t trying to become the “Ron Paul News Network”. But when such a vast amount of people obviously don’t understand simple cause-and-effect, posts like this become necessary. What I am referring to is the reaction of the crowd, as well as what I witnessed on twitter, following Dr. Paul’s foreign policy discussion with Rick Santorum during the CNN Tea Party debate in Florida. His reasonable and educated response garnered some audible boos and scathing tweets, like this one by someone who shall go unnamed saying “What a vile old man!”

If you missed it, here is a clip of the discourse in question.

If you understand what Paul is saying here, then good for you! You have been able to think and function independently of the main stream media. If you don’t understand or are even offended by this, I present to you a short list of links simply designed to challenge your view on the subject. Just like when Dr. Paul offered a recommended reading list to Rudy Giuliani following a similar instance during a 2008 presidential debate. Which just so happens to make number one on our list.

    1. Educating Giuliani ← 1,2… actually 3 videos should cover it
    2. Recommended Reading (not only for Rudy):

    3. The famous “What if?” and “Imagine” speeches, by Ron Paul ← dynamic kinetic type videos
    4. Ron Paul’s Foreign Policy Would Make America More Safe ← article by Jack Hunter
    5. Why They Hate Us ← article by Laurence M. Vance

That’s it for your homework assignment class. Please review the materials carefully and prepare an internal discussion to be presented asap to your conditioned subconscious.

Guest Post by Richard Penney of The Black Sheep Report

    Capitalism Has Mutated Into Corporatism

I am a huge proponent of business, the free market and capitalism. I am an equally fervent opponent of the unholy alliance of business and government. Some call it crony capitalism. Some call it corporatism. Mussolini named it fascism. Whatever you call it, it is not capitalism. It is definitely not the free market.

The alliance of corporations and government tramples on the natural order and the liberty provided by the free market. It transforms a society driven by individual values and choices into a command and control society. Collectivism and servitude become part of the culture. They become social norms.

    Hurbris and the Global Elitist

When I think about how things might shake out in America and across the globe, I try to to build my thoughts around constants or things that are not likely to change. One of these things that is not likely to change is the hubris of the elitists – politicians, international bankers, international political councils an so on. It’s not likely they will stop the scams. After all, the scams, the global political agenda and the political system have become one and the same.

    What Does the Future Hold?

People will get tired of being victims to the political system/scams/agenda. You can see it happening around the world already.

The elitists, unyielding in their superiority complex and hubris, will force a reaction from the “common folk”. They will try to make this reaction a lower scale version to get a preview. Then they will prepare for how they will deal with the larger scale reaction. They know that there will be a reaction. In fact. they are counting on it. That’s the reason for the rising police state measures. These measure are not for national security. They are control measures.

The elitists comprised of politicians, big bankers, corporate cronies, big union and international political groups know they are wrong, but it doesn’t matter to them. They are amoral. They are, quite literally, sociopaths and psychopaths. Studies have even shown the psychological similarities between serial killers and career politicians. It is frightening if you think about it.

Given the mindset and amoral nature of the the elitists, I don’t know how things move forward without some degree of civil unrest and conflict. One can only hope it doesn’t come to that, but if things do not change, this scenario seems highly probable… almost certain.

    But Is It Inevitable?

Although there are lots of people who remain uninformed and full of normalcy bias, there is an awakening going on. People are beginning to see the difference between the political narrative of the establishment and cold, calculating nature of real politics. They are seeing the illusion of the left vs right paradigm. They are seeing the difference between what politicians say and what they do. Most of all, they are seeing the failures and misdeeds of the government and feeling their effects.

If people continue to continue to get informed about such things as liberty, economics, the constitution, history there is hope. If people begin to use that information to empower themselves to become self-reliant, principled and independent individuals, there is a good chance liberty, peace and prosperity will be attainable.
As I often say, the answer is not with the politicians. The answer is with you.

Last night I was following the internet buzz after the June 13th New Hampshire GOP Presidential Debate, and once again the MSM bias was undeniable. CNN is doing Karl Rove proud as the “Main Stream Manipulators” try their best to create reality, not report on it.

Before the night was over Ron Paul reached 79% in the CNN poll

Numerous polls circulating online showed Ron Paul as the clear winner in the debates, and by a wide margin. This CNN poll shows Ron Paul at 65%, with the closest contender being Herman Cain at 10%. But if you are a passive new consumer who chooses to only have your reality fed to you through the tube, then you were provided with a completely different outcome. As the clip below shows, the MSM is touting their establishment favorite, Mitt Romney as the winner with Ron Paul showing ZERO percent in the debate face-off.

Let this not be discouraging, because with each passing lie the MSM loses more of their credibility and more of their viewers. Instead, let this slight to fair journalism motivate you to get out and spread the hugely popular message of liberty, which Ron Paul seems currently to be the only true champion of. Create your own reality by talking with your friends, family and neighbors, and ask them to consider looking into Ron Paul as their choice for the 2012 Presidency.

For the past week President Obama’s speech in which he urged Israel to reel back it’s borders to the 1967 footprint has stirred the emotions of the politically conscious. Since then I have watched the reactions of conservatives on twitter and through this observation I have come to the conclusion that his actions only further empower the Neo-Con agenda.

Now I typically don’t weigh in on the Israel vs. Palestine debate. I don’t honestly know enough about it to declare a position one way or the other. What I do observe though, is needless aggression on both sides of the borders in question. That’s why I am approaching this topic from the “Marketeer’s” view point. Put simply; Who is ultimately to gain in this instance of tactless foreign policy?

I would first like to point out the pure absurdity that our President might actually have any authority over the actions of other sovereign nations. Where does he get off thinking that by the mere mention of “what should happen” that either Israel or Palestine will concede in it’s more than half-century long drama? It strikes me as strategy of pointless derision. Coming from the mind set that, when looking at politics, there is no public action without well though out consequences (or in other words an agenda); and that the maintenance of the status-quo is achieved through the oscillation of control within the left-right paradigm; I see it for more than just face value.

It is no secret President Obama is suffering from obscenely sagging approval ratings. Now as the 2012 election cycle nears I am uber sensitive to the inevitable political positioning of establishment backed candidates vying for the Republican nomination. If November 2010 was any indication the pendulum is swinging back to the right, and this swing will be visible, even decisive in the 2012 Presidential race.

Viewing the response through the Marketeer’s lens, this action further bolsters the “Pro-Israeli Militarism” sentiment which is strong in the establishment favored Neo-Con camp. It builds fervor for more interventionalist foreign policy, just when a sensible foreign policy is building momentum. Namely the idea that we shouldn’t be financing any other nation but our own. That we should focus our ludicrously overblown budget on the overwhelming amount of domestic concerns. And that our actions in the backing and/or threatening of other nations only hinders how our country is perceived throughout the world, ultimately resulting in acts of aggression aimed at the U.S.

Moving forward into the 2012 elections expect to see strong interventionalist rhetoric from the dominant Neo-Con nominees, in boisterous support of more military funding and involvement being granted to Israel. Also expect to see the non-interventionalist views, unique to the increasingly popular nominee Ron Paul, attacked on every front by the conservative media.

I am certain this post will not win me any fans among the unwavering Israel supports, because I am not always 100% behind their actions (while I am not always against them either). So let me just address the obvious rebuttal; ‘Aren’t you concerned Israel will be “Wiped off the map” ‘ as the common wording of Hamas threats go? Well let me remind you that the land that Israel sits on is just as sacred to the people of the Muslim faith as it is to the Jewish and Christian population. That makes the use of nuclear weapons against the state of Israel highly unlikely. Further tensions will only see the close range military offensives and sloppy rocket lobbing or suicide bombing which has plagued the region for decades. Isn’t it time both Israel and Palestine stopped getting our money to back their endless volley of bullying, and learned to play nice? I know it’s not nearly as simple as that, but do we really want to finance the conflict of others while we teeter on the brink of bankruptcy at home? I know I said I wouldn’t weigh in in the conflict, so I will now gladly eat the egg on my face. But I hope this at least got some readers to look at the situation from a fresh perspective. That’s all I ever aim to do.

In an unprecedented and flagrant exercise of executive power President Obama has banned the re-importation of almost one million American made rifles. No they are not “assault” weapons. They aren’t even easily concealable weapons. What we are talking about is the M1 Garand and Carbine, an antique military rifle that has been a staple to the defense of America for nearly 80 years.

Rand Paul, one of Senate’s lead dissenter’s to the action summed up the issue nicely:

The M1 Garand, developed in the late 1930’s, carried the United States through World War II seeing action in every major battle. General Patton at the time called the M1 Garand “the greatest battle implement ever devised.” The rifle is largely credited with giving American soldiers the advantage and securing victory for the allies.

During the Korean War, nearly one million of these rifles were brought to South Korea and left with the South Korean government afterward. Now, South Korea wants to give American gun collectors the chance to get their hands on this unique piece of history. A piece of American history that Barack Obama would like to see go down the memory hole.

But surely these operational rifles will not just disappear down the memory hole. The question is who will they go to now that they are up for grabs? With the amount of hostility we are breeding in the world currently, is it really a good idea to let these proven “battle implements” float in limbo?

I’m sure they would help out tremendously with all the violent revolutions in the middle east? Who’s to say they won’t end up in that powder keg?

I bet the Mexican drug cartels would be clamoring for more fire power! If the ATF/DOJ/State Department can supply them with $177 million dollars in American made weapons I bet South Korea will have no problem striking a deal.

Of course the law abiding citizens of the “freest” country on earth can’t be trusted with that many rifles. After all it’s not as if we have been endowed by our creator with the right to bare arms? Only authorities should be given the privilege to public defense or in most cases… force, right? …But to nip my growing sarcasm in the bud, I digress.

So whether you are pro-gun or not, just remember when you see the often quoted and highly flawed statistic of American weapons involved in Mexican gang violence bump a few notches higher, say “Thanks Obama”! It may actually be just the push the Mexican Government needs the next time they ask our President to further restrict guns for the safety of the poor unarmed Mexican peasant.

Yes the final destination of the rifles is pure speculation… but it’s a question worth asking. Let’s not HAVE to ask the question and put pressure on the administration by signing the National Association for Gun Rights Fire Arms Freedom Survey. It’s a small gesture but better than sitting on our hands.

Motorola has recently rolled out this Super Bowl teaser ad which should be rather successful in programing the beer and beef sedated masses to further accept total surveillance of their lives.

Motorola begins it’s ad by rightfully comparing the world in 2011 to the distopian world portrayed in George Orwell’s 1984. However, they then go on to claim that their “smart” electronics provide greater freedom in this otherwise oppressive world.

I would like to point out just one thing in this clever exercise in DoubleThink. This smart technology they praise as a means to greater freedom is the very same component that is transforming our society into a Panopticon, or centrally surveilled prison population. To put this in the context of 1984; This is the equivalent of Big Brother informing the proles of an exciting and sexy new telescreen. One with faster processing, greater image clarity and more user flexibility, which will grant increased freedom to those who willfully subject every aspect of their personal lives to the prying eyes of the telescreen.

Like any tool in existence, this technology is not inherently bad. But when the tool is used to glean private information from it’s users and serve them to central powers for exploitation, the technology providers legitimacy should be in question.

The ad ends with the slogan “Live a free life”, only further paralleling the Orwellian statement “Slavery is Freedom”. But that parallel is only drawn if you recognize the distopian infrastructure being constructed around you. Otherwise you may actually believe your freedom is granted by corporations and can be bought at Walmart.
