Here is yet another post pulled from the archives of the old TrepaNation blog. New content to come.

Conspiracy Theory. That term conjures up tin foil hats, crashed UFOs and curving bullets. As labels go it carries some of the most pre-determined baggage; Quickly able to disarm even the strongest of arguments in league with even the best logical fallacies. This is the reason why it is high time the term, once and for all, be laid to rest.

TaintedTerm

The definition itself quite accurately describes the phrase’s meaning. A “conspiracy” is the organizing of individuals for the purpose of committing a subversive and illegal act. “Theory”, of course is an educated hypothesis based on factual information and repeated testing. So why is it that this word can be so misunderstood, yet flippantly judgmental? After all, it is not as if conspiracies both large and small have never occurred, thus relegating any such subject to the fiction bargain book bin. No, this is not the case. Human history is in fact filled with people of means vying for unabashed power, and already powerful rulers seizing megalomaniacal levels of influence. It is probably safe to say that human kind has lived longer under tyranny than with peace. If that is the case then what we have experienced in the United States over the last two hundred years is a relatively rare chapter in history. A brief period of time where good men have come together and laid down their differences for the benefit of ALL their fellow countrymen. Creating a system that was derived out of generations of bondage and created to ensure continued freedom from revisiting the lessons of the past. Granted, it hasn’t been without its stains and follies, but as far as civilizations go I am proud to be an American. Even if America as we’ve known it is fading away.

Taking an objective look at history and recognizing the reality that such oppressive social phenomenon is actually the norm, it becomes ominously apparent that to ignore it (by means of conditioned labeling) is extremely dangerous to any free society. I can’t tell you how this came to be? That any mention of these two words, in relation to an organized crime, so effectively disarms any real dissent. I would venture to say that the corporate media, owned by a small group of elite banking oligarchs, have something to do with the double-speak conversion of the term. It doesn’t take a tenured psychology professor to see that repeatedly hearing a phrase with a purposely marginalizing inflection, or as a means to categorize credible sources with actual crock-pots, can skew ones understanding, even reaction to the phrase (But it may take a middle management director to receive a “Naming Conventions” memo… “Mr. Press Secretary Gibbs, The term is no longer ‘International War on Terror’. From now you will say Oversees Contingency Operation. Signed, Your pal, Barack”.

So, what shall it be? Racketeeriology? Monopolyomics? Uncomfortable conversation? No I don’t think were there yet.

Lets look at some of the more recent theories to be widely discussed by experts and concerned citizens alike. I can’t throw this question out and not hit this glaringly obvious side of the barn. The economic meltdown is ripe with the “C” word. First is the shear amount of conflicts of interest within Wall Street, Washington and the Federal Reserve . Then there is the shell game-like consolidation of the three under the multinational banks . But that’s silly, nobody has tried to rule the world before?

Or if you haven’t been released rendition thanks to the Patriot Act in the last month, we have the curious case of a Flu pandemic. Its just a pan-continental cross-mutated swine/avian/human virus happening in an uncharacteristic season and region which is causing the toxic and incompatible drug Tamiflu to fly off the shelves, in turn raising their stock, for large shareholders such as Big Gov’z inner circle, before the company Baxter can complete their task to create the swine flu vaccine… Whom also happened to have sent live weaponized avian flu to 18 different countries, three months ago. I don’t possibly see how anybody could profit there?

To satisfy my own ego I really wanted to be the one to devise the replacement term for “Conspiracy Theorist”. After all I am advertising and marketing guy. Who knows, maybe my slogan-making machine is broken, but then again, maybe that’s what was wrong with the term in the first place? It was so damn accurate!

You know… I think I will have to hand this one to Dr. Bill Deagle on the Tuesday April 9th edition of the Alex Jones radio program, for coining what may very well be the official replacement term. “Agenda Analyst”. “What is this?” I think to myself. “It tastes like it should AND has none of the crappy side effects?” Solid entry Dr. Deagle!

But how does it look under a microscope? “Agenda”, A program by which to accomplish a goal. Fitting. “Analyst”, One who studies the constituent elements of, and relationships to an entire intellectual or material subject. Again, spot on. Something tells me this won’t have quite the sting when it’s used to railroad an argument? “All this talk of false flag terror attacks and global government is just a bunch of Agenda Analysis!”

“Well… Yup can’t argue there?”

So lets make a conscious effort to make this part of our lexicon. Be vigilant to keep the two misleading words at a safe distance from one another in your conversation or writing. Proudly inform detractors of your new title when they attempt to apply the same old label.

I hereby decree that this term be rooted out and “memory holed” in favor of our new more appropriate phrase. If you use it on this site you had better watch yourself or I will hunt you down and… and politely ask you to use the TN~ approved naming conventions ;) . If the U.S. President can do such a thing, and the public unassumingly skips over the rhetoric to go on following the same old agenda, then why can’t it work to de-hypnotize the army of armchair quarterbacks?

Do you have a better alternate term for “conspiracy theory”? Or just want to give your two cents? Discuss this long overdue rephrasing of a tainted term in the comment section below.
